The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) continues to announce changes to the countries designated for Temporary Protected Status (TPS). The updated list of announcements and countries currently designated for TPS are available on DHS’s Temporary Protected Status page.

Burma (Myanmar):
According to a DHS Announcement on November 24, 2025, and a Federal Register notice on November 25, 2025, DHS is not extending Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designation for Burma (Myanmar).
Beneficiaries will be granted a transition 60-day period through January 26, 2026, and those with certain previously issued EADs will remain work-authorized throughout the transition period.
Haiti:
According to a DHS Announcement on November 26, 2025, and a Federal Register notice on November 28, 2025, DHS is not extending Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designation for Haiti.
Termination of the Haiti Temporary Protected Status designation is effective February 3, 2026.
Ethiopia:
According to a DHS Announcement on December 12, 2025, and a Federal Register notice on December 15, 2025, DHS is not extending Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designation for Ethiopia.
Termination of the Ethiopia Temporary Protected Status designation is effective February 13, 2026.
